It may be called Winter Park, but this outdoor paradise offers a variety of activities and events every season of the year – in every direction you turn. Check out our recommendations below for your Colorado mountain vacation.

Brewery in Winter Park Colorado

DOWN MAIN STREET

Eat, drink, and be merry with mountain eateries along the same street we’re located. Taste authentic Italian flavors at Volario’s and wash it down at one of the many local, hot drink spots, such as Idlewild Spirits Distillery, Fraser Valley Distilling, Big Trout Brewing, and Hideaway Park Brewery, just to name a few.

THROUGH THE VALLEY

You don’t have to be a downhill skier to have an elevated experience. The valleys of Winter Park present an open-air playground for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, fat tire biking, dog sledding, horseback riding, hiking, and more. VIEW NEARBY HIKING & BIKING TRAILS >

ON THE MOUNTAIN

With 29 feet of snowfall per year and more than 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, Winter Park Resort is a skier, boarder, and tuber’s paradise. When the fluffy blanket melts come spring, hikers, bikers, and alpine sliders are just as giddy.

AROUND "THE" PARK

The best-kept secret is the Grand Lake entrance to the majestic Rocky Mountain National Park. Enjoy a fraction of the traffic to its 415 square miles of trails and trees, lakes and laurels, wildflowers and wildlife, and endless views and vistas that make it the third most visited national park in the country!
Advanced reservations are required to visit the park.

ACROSS THE LAKES

Grand County is home to many scenic lakes and reservoirs, with the “Big Three” offering big adventure. Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Reservoir, and Lake Granby lure boaters, sailors, paddleboarders, skiers, anglers, and even windsurfers to their cool and deep waters.

ALONG THE RIVER

A river runs through Winter Park, as do creeks, streams, and tributaries. Enjoy the serene quiet of a fly-fishing excursion on the Fraser River or howl your way down the rapids on a whitewater rafting or kayaking adventure.
